Global economic uncertainty in 2024–2026—driven by high inflation, geopolitical conflicts, and post-pandemic effects—challenges the sustainability of Islamic banking. This study examines the resilience of Indonesian Islamic banks amid that uncertainty and identifies digitalization and green banking strategies to strengthen sustainability. Using a qualitative descriptive approach and a Systematic Literature Review (PRISMA) of 25 verified national and international articles (2020–2026), findings show Islamic banking displayed greater resilience than conventional banking, with annual asset growth of 10.49% to IDR 1,061.61 trillion as of March 2026. Key challenges include digitalization gaps, regulatory issues, low Islamic financial literacy (9.14%), and lack of uniform global standards. The study’s novelty is the integrated triple perspective—sustainability, digitalization, and economic-uncertainty response—applied to Indonesia for 2024–2026. Recommended strategies are aggressive digitalization (technology investment ≥15% of operating profit), flexible product development, Sharia-based investment support through sukuk and productive waqf funds, and integration of green banking within an ESG framework.
