Article Processing Charge (APC)

Al-Azhar Journal of Islamic Economics (AJIE) applies an Article Processing Charge to support the operational activities associated with scholarly publishing.

The APC is charged only after a manuscript has successfully completed the editorial and peer-review process and has received a formal acceptance decision.

APC Rate

Article Processing Charge: IDR 150,000 per accepted article

Payment Policy

Authors are not required to pay an APC at the submission stage.

The APC becomes payable only after the manuscript has received formal acceptance.

Payment instructions should be communicated through the journal's official editorial channels.

Authors should not make payments to unofficial individuals or accounts.

Editorial Independence

Payment of the APC does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

Editorial decisions are independent of financial considerations and are based on the academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, and scholarly contribution of the manuscript.

Waiver or Reduction

AJIE may consider an APC waiver or reduction in exceptional circumstances where authors demonstrate genuine financial constraints.

A waiver request should be handled separately from editorial and peer-review decisions.

Transparency

AJIE is committed to transparent author-fee practices.

The APC amount and relevant fee policies should be clearly communicated to authors before payment.

COPE's Core Practices identify intellectual property, journal management, and transparent publication costs as important elements of responsible scholarly publishing.
